Students from the Marie Clarac School in Ecuador achieved notable success by winning two awards at the ‚Asia VEX 2025‘ International Robotics Championship held in Beijing, China.

The awards presented included the Build Award and the Mechanical Award. The Build Award is granted for excellence in robot construction, taking into consideration several criteria:

  • Quality, strength, and durability of the physical structure.
  • Efficient and safe use of mechanical and electrical materials and components.
  • Teamwork and technical expertise.
  • Quality of the engineering process.

Throughout the competition, the school’s team, dubbed the Wolfex Team, consistently ranked within the top 20. Their performance not only highlighted their technical skills with the robot but also their commitment to cultural identity.

For instance, they incorporated the Aya Huma hat, a central mythical figure in Andean celebrations such as Inti Raymi in Ecuador.

The Ecuadorians also secured a significant position in the Skills category, finishing in 22nd place due to their technical proficiency and dedication to their work.
